Card Cake Plate

I made this Card Cake Plate for a "Game Night" themed birthday party. I always love fast and easy crafts, but what I love even more is Cheap :) You can make these for less than 2 dollars a piece... can I hear a whoot whoot!!  When decorating parties I always start with a budget and I am always looking for cheap ways to add special touches to any party and this is why this cake plate is a must for your next "game night" party.

You Need:
Dollar store cake plates
cards
hot glue
ribbon

Step 1: This step is optional. I chose to use glue dots and place ric rac around my cake plate so when I was done with the "card" theme I could take off the cards glued to the ric rac and use my cake plate again. Another option is you can just skip step 1 and go to step 2 and glue the cards directly onto the cake plate.

Step 2: Glue on your cards

Step 3: Glue ribbon to the top of the cards to give it that finished look.

This could be fun to do different type of cards or different colors. I knew I wanted to place standard card cookies on my stand so I chose to use standard playing cards.

These cookies were made by Dicks Market in Centerville Utah.

I can't wait to share with you the whole party... Stay tuned :)
