THE FOOD:

I have a confession: The reason why I was able to afford this party was because I started in a year in advance. For example these blue chocolate balls and blue and white animal cookies were on sale the day after the 24th of July. A trick is if you know in advance you can stock up after each holiday. For example, if you are doing any pink themed party then stock up on stuff after Valentines day BUT make sure you check the expiration date. We don't want to serve expired food :)

THE BIRTHDAY CAKE:

I played around with a couple ideas for his cake but eventually decided on the simplest of them all. (okay maybe I didn't decide but my lack of time decided for me). These are cookie cutters that I thought would fit the theme and be cute.
